RCF LAPD Cadets – the Los Angeles Police Department’s Community Youth Program is the proud recipient of a generous grant from The Ray Charles Foundation.

The Ray Charles Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by the legendary recording artist, Ray Charles. As part of its mission, it provides financial support in the area of hearing disorders and education. Over the past 23 years, the foundation has provided millions of dollars in donations. The LAPD has been working to improve the lives of young people through Youth Programs for almost 50 years. It is the Department’s mission to continually promote the development of the youth of Los Angeles by allowing all eligible youth to participate in the programs FREE OF CHARGE.

None of our programs receive financial support from the City of Los Angeles or the Los Angeles Police Department; we rely on the generosity of individuals like you!

Even though we realize the economic times are tough, we need your support now more than ever. When you give, your contribution will help us make available life-altering programs and services to the youth who need them the most.
